The summer I truly turned to God was the summer everything in my life began to shift. I had been thought so much heartbreak, betrayal, and seasons where I felt like I was walking through fire alone. I've had the people I loved the most turn around and stab me in the back, and there were moments I thought I'd never climb out of the darkness I was in. But every time the devil tried to pull me down, God was still there, reaching for me, whispering that my story wasn't over.
That was the summer I found Jesus for real. He took my brokenness and showed me that the pieces of my life weren't wasted they could be made into something beautiful. And out of that broken season, he gave me a gift- photography.
At first, it was just me and my camera, trying to capture the world the way I wished my heart felt full of light, love, and joy. But God began to open my eyes. He showed me photography wasn't just about pictures. It's about moments, stories, and memories that reflect his goodness. Every time I look through my lens, I see a glimpse of how he sees us cherished, chosen, and beautiful even in our imperfections
My business is built on Him. It's more than a job, its my ministry. I pray before every sessions, asking God to let his love shine through every image. When I capture a smile, a family's embrace, or the pride on a child’s face at a livestock show. I know I'm freezing a moment that he gave a reminder that life is still worth celebrating even after pain.
Photography has healed me. It has become a way for me to take all the hurt I've been through and turn it into something that glorifies God. The devil tried to bury me in shame, heartbreak, and betrayal, but instead God planted me and now, through my camera, I get to bloom.
This is my testimony: I was broken, but Jesus restored me. I was lost, but He gave me purpose. And now, every picture I take is a reflection of His love and a reminder that He makes all things new.
I’ve been drug through hell and faced battles that could have broken me, but I refused to let the devil keep me down for long. Even when the people I loved most turned their backs on me, I found a Friend who would never leave or forsake me.
That Friend is Jesus.
When I finally surrendered and gave Him my heart, I felt a freedom and peace that I had been searching for my whole life. It wasn’t that life suddenly became easy, but I began to see that every storm I went through was preparing me for something greater. My scars became proof of God’s healing, and my tears became the soil for a deeper faith.
Out of that season, God gave me a gift
Today, I stand as someone who has been broken but not destroyed, hurt but still standing, and betrayed but never abandoned. My testimony is simple: Jesus saved me. He picked me up when the world tore me down, and He gave me a new purpose. So when people laugh, roll their eyes, or call my photography business “silly,” I just smile because they don’t understand. This isn’t just a hobby. This is my calling, my ministry, my testimony written in light. It’s the proof that no matter how far you’ve fallen, God can raise you back up and give you purpose again.
If He can use someone like me broken, betrayed, and once lost then He can use anyone. My life, my business, my photos all say the same thing: look what God has done. And I’ll spend the rest of my days pointing back to Him through every picture I take.
